Overview
Abortion is permitted on request up to 12 weeks. It is permitted up to 23 weeks if the pregnancy endangers the woman or person’s health, including physical health, or their life or If the woman is over the age of 40, and she so wishes. It is also permitted in cases of fetal impairment, rape, incest or intellectual or cognitive impairment of the woman or person. For these cases no limitation regarding the lengths of pregnancy is mentioned in the legal text.
Minors under the age of 18 are required to obtain parenta/ or adult consent for an abortion.
Abortion providers may be criminalized for an abortion outside of the legal conditions specified in the law.

- Have an abortion with a pill called Mifepristone and another pill called Misoprostol;
- Have an abortion with the pill Misoprostol only.
