From 22 October 2019, all travel, and where needed accommodation, will be funded. Care may be on an NHS site or it may be through an independent provider such as BPAS, MSI or NUPAS amongst others.
In the UK abortion is legal for up to 24 weeks of pregnancy and regulated through the Abortion Act 1967. All abortions must be carried out in a licensed facility; this can be a specialist clinic, NHS Hospital or Private Hospital.
