An Israeli woman that requires an abortion must apply her request to the “Committee for Stopping of Pregnancy” (loosely translated) for approval. The reasons that are recognized for a legal abortion are detailed in the Israeli law:
The woman is under 17 or above 40
The woman is unmarried or the child is a result of adultery
The fetus was conceived as a result of rape or incest
Medical concerns to the fetus
Medical concerns to the woman’s life
Misoprostrol is supplied only by a doctor
