Polish parliament voted against proposed amendments in Polish Constitution.

Protection of dignity from the moment of conception will not be incorporated into Polish Constitution.

On Friday, 13th of April, members of Parliament voted against five proposed amendments to the Constitution in order to totally criminalize abortion. The amendment of article 30 of Polish Constitution will stay unchanged. It means, that right to abortion for polish women will not get more restrictive, but will also not improve for better.     Virgin launches hotline for safe abortion

    Quito, Ecuador June 18, 2008

    The Virgin de Panecillo revealed a banner with the text “Safe abortion, 099004545". The number is from a hotline that will provide women with information about how they can do a safe abortion with pills themselves at home and other information related to sexual health.

    The banner action was done by Women on Waves and Coordinadora Juvenil.

    "Yes" to legalize abortion in Portugal!!

    On 10th of April Portugal's president ratified a law allowing women to obtain abortions until the 10th week of pregnancy.
    The abortion law will come into force when the government publishes it in official records, probably next month.
